Onward to NYC

This is part of the group that's going to NYC with us over Spring Break. There are 26 of us total, including Bruce and me. We'll be visiting newspapers, magazines, TV stations and advertising agencies. We're going to Hearst Publications where we'll meet with George Irish, former publisher of the Midland Reporter Telegram who is now president of the entire newspaper division for Hearst. He's going to treat our whole group to lunch! In another surprising turn, Macy's Department is treating us to lunch too! I tell you, life is good.

Bruce and I are going to see the musicals The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Spamalot. The students are going to see Rent, Lion King and Wicked. Interesting that after all these years and a new movie, most of them wanted to see Rent. We'll spend Monday evening, when the theatres are dark, in Chinatown and Little Italy.

I'm in College Station right now and just finished taking a class on Life History Research. Sort of like the things Andrea is doing!

Five Ex-Wives in ICU

This is a photo taken to illustrate my comedy, "Five Ex-Wives in ICU." David LeMaster with Brooklyn Publishing asked for a photo for their website and we took it in a local clinic. The "ex-wife" in the front left playing the part of an aerobics instructor is my real doctor, Kelley Moon.

The others are, from top left, Susan Conley, Melissa Cunningham, Bo Miller, Kim Luna Snyder and Elizabeth Spradley. We went to Bossier City with Kim and her husband.

Wow, the little town across the Red River from Shreveport has grown in the two years since we've been there! The big Bass Pro store had just been completed when we were there last time, and there was a big empty lot next to it. Now there is a Disneyesque shopping area called the Louisiana Boardwalk and it's incredible. I'll post pix soon if possible.

Got the Nac

Today we're off to Shreveport to visit the Lousiana Racetrack in Bossier City. Bruce and Chris Snyder will play golf and Kim Luna Snyder and I will visit the casino. We'll go see the races too, so this should be fun.
